Warranty on second-hand kitesurfing equipment

Some kite brands have international warranty conditions on the site. In some situations you also have a guarantee on second-hand material. Read the conditions and definitive rules carefully. Warranty is only given on manufacturing faults, not on user wear. If you purchase 2nd hand kiteboard material through a kiteboard shop, you have a fixed point to return to if something is wrong. You may not have a warranty, but a good shopkeeper will not leave you out in the cold and help you as well as possible so that you can get back on the water quickly!

  1. Various forums are useful for this, to obtain information, etc.

In any case, always check second-hand items for wear, etc., but beginners do not yet know what to look out for and buy something that is too old / worn out.

Incidentally, in some kite shops it is also not quite neat, beginners can fool you of everything.

it is useful to bring someone who understands it when purchasing material.

  2. I have been kitesurfing since 2001 and have been looking at the range of material on the internet for so long, I have also been teaching for 3 and a half years. My conclusion is that if you don't know well yet, you shouldn't go to Marktplaats. Not because of negative publicity or something in that direction, but I have come across so many unsafe, too old, incomplete, badly homemade stuff. For the full whack of 600 euros but also to nothing a 40 euros. Although it may seem enchanting if you have a small budget, there is really affordable better material. Preferably look at the kite site on the 2nd hand page, there are people who know more about it and for the most reasonable price / year / quality. It's for your own safety. However, if you know the market very well, you can also find good deals on Marktplaats, but there are not many.
