The Dutch Cabrinha team driver Annelous Lammerts has settled in The Hague. It is logical that she can often be found at sea off Scheveningen. Recently she unpacked the Cabrinha Contra 1 Strut kite on the beach of Scheveningen and went kitefoiling with it in a wind between approximately 9 and 12 knots. Preferably with a 7 meter kite! View the review and read more about the features of this special kite.
Features Cabrinha Contra 1 Strut
The Contra 1 Strut is presented by Cabrinha as a very light and manoeuvrable kite. You could therefore kitesurf with a smaller size kite than normal. In addition, the Contra 1 Strut should keep pressure on the steering lines and thus have to steer well and quickly at all times, also completely 'depowered'. The kite would also be very easy to restart with little wind. A suitable kite for kitesurfing in low wind with a twintip kiteboard, surf type kiteboard. Furthermore, the properties would also make the Contra 1 Strut extremely suitable for the kitefoiling.
Cabrinha Contra 1 Strut according to Annelous
Watch the video of Annelous in which she reviews the Contra 1 Strut in a fun and active way. As far as we are concerned, we see 100% of the properties that Cabrinha describes what you can expect from the kite. Annelous uses a 7 meter kite in wind; between about 9 and 12 knots.
'Lite Surf' – Kites on a diet
The engine of technological developments in the kitesurfing industry is running at full speed. Kites become lighter and at the same time stronger, more stable and more reliable. Material and production processes are becoming more environmentally aware. It usually does not make the kites cheaper, but the properties improve enormously. We will discuss this extensively with what we call 'Lite Surf'. The concept by which we state that kites are on a diet.
