It often happens that your kite lines are worn out at the ends. It is often not necessary at all to purchase a whole set of new lines. The lines can easily be shortened a little bit. The lines are ready for use again for a few euros.
Supplies
- Hobby sewing machine
- Strong sewing thread
- Lighter
- Scissors
- Sleeve needle
- Sleeves (sock through which the kite line must be pulled)
A sleeve set (sleeve needle + sleeve wire) is for sale in almost all kite shops.
Take a piece of sleeve of about 25 cm. Pass the sleeve needle through the sleeve and burn off the edges neatly.
Pull the kiteline through the sleeve.
Set the sewing machine for a zigzag stitch and make a loop on the kite line.
Your lines are completely ready for use again!
