Off to Tarifa during the GKA Big Air World Championship?

As stated, Tarifa is perhaps rightly the kitesurfing capital of the world. It has become extremely popular after it became a popular windsurfing center in the 80s. The Levante blows from land, crossing offshore from the left and can be strong, up to 40 knots and often blows five days in a row. The Poniente is the more gentle wind, crossing onshore from the right. It is cooler and more common in summer and can blow between 15 and 25 knots for two or three days in a row. Together with the ample possibilities for accommodation and the presence of the kitesurfing industry, this makes Tarifa a perfect kitespot for many kitesurfers.
