On November 26, KOTA 2022 was done in one day. The conditions were perfect for it. It was the 10th edition where the 18 best and most extreme big air kite surfers competed against each other off the coast of Cape Town in South Africa.

Lorenzo Casati's dream came true. Earlier this year he already took second place during the Cold Hawaii Big Air 2022. Now Lorenzo has been crowned Red Bull King of the Air 2022.
Our national pride Jamie Overbeek has recently become old enough to participate in the most extreme kitesurfing event. The young generation. Jamie managed to finish second as the youngest KOTA participant ever.
Italy's Andrea Principi was third. Andrea now has several titles to his name such as Big Air World Champion 2022 en Cold Hawaii Big Air 2022 winner. Now also a KOTA 2022 podium for Andrea.
