Eand short update and referral to the Dutch Kitesurf Association (NKV). There will be no wind turbines at kitesurfing spot De Slufter. Unfortunately, the decision is different for the north side of the Maasvlakte. There would be a windmill park in places where many water sports enthusiasts and kite surfers are active.
The NKV Facebook page indicates that intensive negotiations have taken place in recent months about keeping the wind turbines away from the Slufter. Partly with success: there will be a wind farm, but about 2,5 km from the Slufter. As a result, De Slufter remains largely free of these obstacles.
