Dhe battle in the kitesurf freestyle competition is over after a single tour stop of 5 days. This immediately brought an end to the GKA Freestyle Super Grand Slam 2020. A big compliment to the organization. Especially because, despite Covid-19, the freestyle kitesurfing talent at world level could still compete in 2020. Totally cool for our Dutch Pippa van Iersel who has freestyled herself to a podium spot.
A stop, never seen tricks
According to those present and Jörgen Vogt, CEO of the GKA, the level was unprecedented. There are participants who have ever achieved highest total scores. There are also tricks that have never landed in a match before. For example Maxime Chabloz who achieved a score of 10 with a never-before-landed Back Mobe 7 with grab. It is also worth mentioning that the 12 year old Brazilian David Ribeiro a 317, a KGB and a Slim 7 managed to land.

Pippa van Irish
Pippa van Iersel managed to take third place in Ilha do Guajiru (Brazil). Congratulations! On gkakitewordtour.com you can read how Pippa did this. For many kite surfers it is adacradaba and therefore the videos of the event are worth watching. Especially if you plan to master more freestyle tricks.
