But if you think of KOTA, you can't ignore our own Red Bull Megaloop. The wind window for the Red Bull Megaloop 2022 is open between April 1 and November 1, according to Red Bull. Red Bull Megaloop conditions
The kitesurfing event is held depending on the perfect conditions. That is precisely why there is a so-called 'wind window', a period in which the perfect conditions can be awaited. The perfect conditions for the Red Bull Megaloop are 35+ knots of wind and a sea with beautiful waves to launch into for the coolest jumps. Such a ramp is also called a 'kicker'. The last Megaloop was held on June 8, 2019 off the coast of Zandvoort in the Netherlands.
Megaloop not by chance in the Netherlands
It may seem special that the Red Bull Megaloop is being held in the Netherlands. However, it is not. Kitesurfing is very popular in the Netherlands and the best kitesurfers in the world also come from the Netherlands. Also in 2019 there was a 2 year wait before the Red Bull Megaloop took place in Zandvoort. This was the top 3 2019:

Number of participants
Unfortunately, the Red Bull Megaloop kitesurfing competition in 2020 and 2021 was canceled. The 16 invitees from 2020 were invited to participate again in 2021. Unfortunately, the organization did not see a chance to continue the Megaloop in 2021. It is not yet known how the selection of participants will be planned for this year. We will update this blog when there is news.
