Er a lot happens in the Netherlands kitesurfing land. Today, as far as we know, there were two test days. One organized by Versus kitesurf shop and one through Eurofuncenter. Both test days were in collaboration with importers and even the kitesurfing industry. Like previously reported More and more Dutch kitesurfing brands are being added. How cool is that!

Keven Langeree and Reedin

Earlier we introduced Reedin with the new Super-E and Kev Pro. Eurofuncenter organized a Reedin test day today. Co-owner and Dutch pride in kitesurfing land, Kevin Langeree, was personally present. We have known Kevin for some time and starting his own kitesurfing brand is really no easy feat. Yet it is striking how accessible and enthusiastic Kevin has remained.

And guess who was the first to get out on the water in the rain with a Reedin Supermodel 10m kite and Kev Pro 133 kitesurf board. So we.

Unpacking, inflating and connecting is obvious for a kite surfer. The kite bag contains an extra adapter that you can connect to your pump. The valve is extra large, which makes inflation quick. The Reedin Dream Stick bar and lines also connect easily and are immediately well adjusted for the Supermodel kite. That is nice and therefore all 'plug and play'.

Once in the air, the Supermodel steers smoothly and feels immediately familiar. It is very stable in the air. The Supermodel also steers very lightly on the water. The bar pressure is average so that you can feel what the kite is doing but it does not drag you. Still, there is quite a bit of power in the Supermodel.

It was not very windy. Despite this, I was able to kite surf more well and quickly. I also made a number of freestyle tricks with ease. The combination between the Reedin Supermodel and the Kev Pro provides the opportunity to build up considerable pressure to jump. What also struck me is that the Supermodel has a sleek shape. I never once heard the cloth flap. The Kev Pro kitesurf board fits like a glove thanks to its well-formed Super Binding foot straps. The grip is also good. The board feels playful and not very stiff. It also gives a very good pop.

My mini review of the Reedin Supermodel and the Kev Pro was a great experience. All the more reason to do this again with more wind and a little sun. 😉
