Our eye fell on a piece of Dutch glory: the new Mark V2 twintip from Ten Kiteboarding. We would therefore like to explain the Mark V2. Not only because of the Dutch glory but also because it is a special kiteboard: with 5 fins! Is the Mark V2 really as revolutionary as Ten Kiteboarding claims? We hope to be able to test and experience it ourselves. Below you will find more information about this special kiteboard.

Development in big air twin tip kiteboard
According to Ten Kiteboarding, the Mark V2 is the result of the need for a board that can handle more than traditional twintips. The focus was on developing a board that is able to control this impact even better at high speed and with great pressure on the edges, without sacrificing control and maneuverability.

Mark V2 with fifth fin
The design of the Mark V2 is centered around the addition of a fifth fin on the heel side of the board. This fin, combined with a specially designed channel, should allow for unmatched grip and even better upwind kitesurfing. The Mark V2 should be very lively, while still keeping the board in full control, even in extreme conditions.
Mark V2 kiteboard information
When redesigning the Mark V2, Ten Kiteboarding stated that the goal was to retain the legendary grip, upwind kitesurfing capabilities and control of the original Mark kiteboard. This was achieved by a combination of specific adjustments to the outline, rocker and thinning of the tips. The addition of the fifth fin plays a crucial role in this. However, the most important goal was to further improve the playfulness of the original Mark.
