Palenrij Oostvoorne (ex-car beach)

At the beginning of October, approximately 25 posts of approximately 2,5 m high were placed on the ex-car beach. André Knulst, regional representative of the NKV, is busy removing these posts. The posts make the fantastic spot a lot less safe. The beach of Oostvoorne is frequented by experienced and, above all, many novice kite surfers.

Latest update of the state of affairs:

—————————————————————————————–

GZH, which is responsible for placing the posts on the Autostrand, has received a proposal from the NKV. The posts are dangerous to life and hinder the kiters in their freedom on and near the water. We have proposed placing buoys if the municipality is willing to remove the poles. If the Municipality of Westvoorne does not have a budget for placing buoys, the NKV will bear these costs.

PvdA has since asked questions about the unsafe situation and will support us in this. Next Thursday, a working visit will take place by the Supervisors, Rijkswaterstaat, Province of South Holland and Natuurmonumenten to assess the situation there. As a result of this visit, follow-up steps will be taken which I will inform you about.

With the well-known regards,

Dree
Regional representative NKV
