Appletree Surfboards – Born in Holland

Appletree Surfboards - Kiteboards, Foilboards and Surfboards

In this blog we stay close to home. At the Dutch brand Appletree Surfboards. When we think of the Dutch brand Appeltree in this context, we think of the idiom “An apple doesn't fall far from the tree”. Let this just have to do with the history of Appeltree Surfboard. Brothers Wieger and Jorrit made surfboards in their parents' shed on an apple orchard. How cool is that!

After experimenting for some time, Wieger and Jorrit took the plunge to tackle it professionally. Appeltree Surfboards has become an integral part of the international surf scene today.

Lightest, strongest and best performing boards

This is quite a statement as can be read on the Appletree website. To achieve this, Appletree settled in Portugal in 2019, close to the surf village Ericeira. A factory has started there. With specially developed CNC machines and environmentally friendly production processes. Ultimately, Appletree Surfboards are handmade boards. However, the office has simply remained in the Netherlands. See for yourself why Appletree kite surfboards be so light and strong.
