Dhe first big air kitesurfing competition in Denmark is a fact. The Cold Hawaii Big Air. Correct yes. Because on the annual Cold Hawaii Games kite surfing has now also been added in Denmark. And then big air where kite surfers pull out all the stops to jump as high as possible. Of course, the high jump must also be as extreme as possible mega loops in combination with one or even more tricks.
Video selection for 13 kite surfers
18 participants can compete against each other in September for the Cold Hawaii Big Air title. 5 kite surfers have already been invited. The other 13 can be invited based on a submitted kitesurf video. This video must be submitted no later than August 23 through the Cold Hawaii Games site. So hurry is required. Hopefully there will be enough wind this weekend if you have to make another video. 😉 You video can be submitted here.

Red Bull King of the Air 2021 participation guaranteed
The winner of the Cold Hawaii Big Air will receive an additional reward. Namely, an invitation to participate in the infamous Red Bull King of the Air in Cape Town next year. The Red Bull King of the Air is scheduled for February 2021.
More than just kite surfing
The big air event was set up together with, among others, a professional kite surfer Nick Jacobson. Cold Hawaii Denmark was not known to us, but it is a multi-day event, from 13 to 20 September in Thy, Denmark. Besides big air kite surfing, there are competitions with windsurfing, body boarding, stand up paddleboarding, skateboarding and mountain biking. In addition, there are various workshops and yoga activities. cold hawaii seems like a concept in itself and definitely worth following or visiting.
