This is how wingfoil lessons go
For starters, there are different types of wingfoil classes. You can take private lessons or choose to take lessons in a group. Both options are available at almost any wingfoil school and have their own pros and cons. Group lessons are generally with 3 aspiring wing foilers at a time.
Start winging at a wingsurfing school
Learning to wingfoil starts with learning to wingsurf. That's how it is! During wingfoil lessons you are the first to become acquainted with the material. In addition, with the principles of wing foiling and the safety aspects. That's important because this has its quirks. Think, for example, about rigging and keeping the wing under control. This is a game in itself. It is already satisfying if you can hold the wing well in the wind and experience the power that is released and can convert it into imaginary wing foils. Then you go out on the water under the guidance of the wingfoil school. You learn to taxi on the water on a wingsurf board. You are actually already winging it.

Everything under control? Then the foil construction goes under the board and you start practicing under supervision. How cool is it if you can get on the foil for the first time within a few wingsurf lessons?!
Conclusion: give yourself lessons through a wingsurf school
I myself had some tips at a wingsurfing school, but I mainly went to work myself. My learning curve wasn't as steep as I'd hoped because I bought too ambitious wingfoil material too soon. See how I have learn to wingfoil† I had to come back from this. Practicing was not so much fun anymore at that time. Anyway, I'm a real water rat with perseverance and so I'll get there. But that is not for everyone. My advice is to take lessons. You will benefit a lot from it and grow faster into a real wing foiler. You can do this!
