The day is Sunday September 24th. A new live kitesurfing safety event from the Dutch Kitesurfing Association (NKV). The NKV has taken this initiative to further contribute to safe kitesurfing. The previous safety clinics were a success, so if you still have a chance to go, this is recommended.
Background safety event
Safety is a hot topic in kitesurfing and is reflected in all aspects of the sport. This starts with orientation kitesurfing lesson, at the purchasing kitesurfing equipment, improving skills and practicing tricks, when making downwinders and so on. Such topics are discussed during the NKV safety event.
No standard safety clinic
Who the NKV safety clinics Kent immediately sees from the program that this is not a standard safety clinic but a kitesurfing event full of specific and inspiring lectures and clinics. There is also room to go on the water and test kitesurfing equipment. While enjoying a drink you can meet other kitesurfers and learn with and from each other.
Safety event location in Zeeland
Part of the event takes place in Strandtheater Houtenkaap in Ouddorp. For kitesurfing itself and testing the latest North kitesurfing equipment, we go to: kitesurfing spot Brouwersdam at Natural High.
