Kitesurf speed record: world record Sylvain Hoceini

OOn July 15, 2020, the French kitesurfer Sylvain Hoceini broke the kitesurf speed record at Plage du Rouet, in La Palme in France. Sylvain has been very active in the world of kite surfing at speed since 2015. The new kite surfing speed record did not go unnoticed and is of course something to be proud of. This record is a record measured over 1 (international) nautical mile, which is exactly 1852 meters. Sylvian achieved a speed of 39,11 knots (72,23 km / h) during the Prince of Speed 2020.

The new kitesurfing world record for fastest nautical mile has yet to be recognized by the World Sailing Speed ​​Record Council (WSSRC).

The fastest kite surfer in the world is Alexandre Caizergues. With a speed of 50.97 knots measured over a distance of 500 meters. Alexander achieved a maximum speed of no less than 2017 knots (58 km / h) in 107,36. An unparalleled achievement so far.
