Fifth place for Team NL kitefoil duo Sven and Mariska

Hhe Dutch team competed at the European Kite Foiling Championship this week. This took place on the Austrian Traunsee. The kitesurf competitions were sailed with one team per country.

Kitesurfing competition form 'Kitefoil mixed relay'

The 'kitefoil mixed relay' is the new one Olympic discipline. In the 'kitefoil mixed team relay' each team consists of one man and one woman. It is a relay race where they compete against other teams. The Dutch team consisted of Sven van de Kamp and Mariska Wildenberg for the match in Austria. Casper Bouman is a coach.

Dutch team in 'Bronze flight'

The kitefoil kitesurf competition has been sailed in three classes. The Gold Flight, Silver Flight and Bronze Flight. Sven van de Kamp and Mariska Wildenberg were in the Bronze Flight. All in all, the result is a fifth place for Team NL kitefoil duo Sven and Mariska. In terms of points, it seems to be a shared fourth place. Gaining experience for the European Championship The Hague

Where one team was now allowed to participate, more teams per country can appear at the start in subsequent matches. For now, the mission is to gain experience and bring it back to the entire team.
